Marlborough Express - JOHN ALEXANDER
Marlborough has made a major contribution to the next generation of Tasman Makos rugby players, with 14 named in the Tasman Makos under-20 wider training squad after Marlborough's recent win over Nelson Bays in Blenheim in the under-20 trial.
From the Moutere club are Jonathon Andrews, James Pigou and Benji Keenan. Waitohi have Joe Va'atuitui, Joe Stewart, Hayden Gaudin and Hepe Beech in the side, and from Awatere is Sean Crockett. His brother, Daniel Crockett, and Jonathan Tiueti, from Central, make the team, with Ryan Schollum and Kyle Marfell, from Renwick, along with Greg Knowles and Stuart Cochrane, from Harlequins.
Marlborough-based players will train at 6pm next Tuesday at Lansdowne Park. All are expected to contact coaches this week. Marlborough players should phone Aaron Senior, 5784070.
